Our CNC Turning Services

We can add on-axis, axial and radial holes for turned parts, but only holes parallel or perpendicular to the axis of rotation are supported, and we cannot accommodate odd angles of hard metal hole. We can mill off-axis holes on turned parts machined from aluminum or brass.

Minimum features for CNC turning

Small features are allowed, but no area should be less than 0.76 mm in diameter. Sharp conical points are allowed; angles should be greater than 30 degrees. Walls thinner than 0.5 mm generally do not survive machining. The specific turning size of the material

How does CNC turning work?

CNC turning is a subtractive manufacturing process in which a metal rod is rotated while a cutting tool is attached to the blank to remove material and create the final part. Our CNC lathes are also equipped with power tools that can machine flat features and holes in the workpiece. Outside diameter (OD) and inside diameter (ID) threads are also available. Turned parts can then remain machined with visible tool marks or sandblasted. After the run is complete, parts are inspected, boxed and shipped.

Post-processing service

Machined magnesium alloy parts are left as-is, which usually means they show visible tool marks. Some metal parts can provide more surface treatment options, such as passivation, micro-arc oxidation, electroplating, anodizing. After the run is complete and the desired finish is applied, the parts are boxed and shipped shortly thereafter.
