Shipbuilding Industry

Shipbuilding Industry Group, established on July 1, 1999, is a central enterprise managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.

The predecessor was the sixth Ministry of Machinery Industry, which was established by the State Council in September 1963 to separate the shipbuilding industry from the third machinery industry. In accordance with the major decision on the state-owned enterprises to basically complete the corporate restructuring and the relevant work arrangements of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, with the approval of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation completed the corporate restructuring.
